Help Me Sell 1000 Books in January

I'll be honest. I need your help.

My own little company, Cazenovia Books, published Government Schools Are Bad for Your Kids in November on Amazon with a zero budget for advertising and marketing. Thanks to the internet, however, the word has gotten out and I had respectable sales the last two months. With the holidays over, it is time to take the Free the Children movement to a different level.

I have made efforts to gain local and national media coverage for the book. No luck so far. I'm not complaining, just stating a fact. (What good did complaining ever do?)

With little media coverage, no PR firm, no promotion budget, and no major publishing house behind me, I have no choice but to appeal to the grassroots liberty movement to promote this important book. If I can sell just 1000 books in January--11 down, 989 to go, I will have the revenue needed to start a national book tour as well as finish off the new website. Not only that, but I will the revenue needed to publish and promote my third book this month, the first-ever strategy manual for the liberty movement: Direct Citizen Action: How We Can Win the Second American Revolution Without Firing a Shot.

1000 sales will also keep my Amazon rank high so that the media gurus in NY and DC will be more likely to book me on a talk show.

If you are a supporter of Free New York, you may have noticed that you haven't gotten a fundraising pitch in some time (we did raise money impromptu at a tea party event to publish our economics flier). This is not an accident. As a private sector group, we listen to the market and the market said it's nearly impossible to raise money for a general interest think tank. So, we have developed alternative strategies. First, we rolled out a strategy for the tea party movement that simply does not require any funding! Second, I am trying to generate revenue for these projects by book sales and web ad revenue so our success will not depend on the fickle nature of donations. In other words, to promote free market policies, we are acting like capitalists! Imagine that.

I just wanted you to know that the things I do are not spur of the moment whims but are based on trying to carefully adapt to changing conditions and keep the liberty movement in WNY and national vibrant.

Please do what you can. You're an American so I leave the rest up to your native ingenuity and initiative.

(I will speak about the book anytime, anywhere within driving distance of Buffalo.)

Also, if you buy directly from Cazenovia, I make more money and you can get the book faster.

Folks outside WNY, feel free to buy at Amazon. Where would I be without that great company?

Thanks and as always, let me cite my favorite quote from GW: “Perseverance and spirit have down wonders in all ages.”
